~*Take a long break*~

After I have been working so hard for the last 2 years and being a stay at home mum, I deserved a long break. My family and I'll be going a bit far from the last place we had holiday. I have been dreaming to go to this city for so long since I got married but never came true. So when the opportunity came, I grab it and didn't want to miss the chance. LOL.

So do you want to know where are we going this coming Christmas and celebrate our New Year??

I'm back after long heitus!

It has been a while I did not update any news. I have been busy finishing all my orders and also for my upcoming workshop on 15th November at my home gallery.

It is going to be one day mini workshop with four ladies from my multiply contacts. It is second time for me to have an introductory workshop and it is going to be a first time for these ladies. I am hoping they will have a good time doing the clay flowers.

Last few weeks it has been the busiest week for me after the Eid. I had one big project for my husband's Australian niece. This was my first time I did almost a complete set for the bride, bridesmaids, groom, best men and both families minus the flower girl and the ring pillow.

After I finished those, I did few other arrangement orders and a wedding bouquet for a friend and my multiply contacts. Almost these orders were specially request as a gift for their beloved families. I guess clay flowers are another alternative present to give for any occassion.

One of arrangement was the big centrepiece whom my good friend Marlinda had given to her auntie for her new home. It was a mixture colours of roses, pink peonies and dark green and tinted pink hydrangea.

Another arrangement was ordered by one of multiply contacts for her beloved mother's birthday present. She wanted a yellow and purple orchid. I admit I was quite nervous did the arrangement. It has been a while I did an orchid. I think I need more practice to make it more perfect.

And lastly I did a red and white roses bouquet to one of my multiply contact. She ordered these special bouquet as a wedding gift to her sister in law. The colours reminds me the Singapore flag colour. Really patriotic..!

Seriously I do need a break after I have been busy with all the orders and taking care of my two hyperactive boys. Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy doing customised order as it make me more creative and inspire in many ways. But sometimes I do need some time off like other SAHMs to spend more time with my children and do some houseworks.
So this coming December I will be taking a big break. Need to...And please do wait for me to come back with more ideas and inspiration to make more different type of clay flowers. :-)

Busy and Sick

I have been busy these days and the flu bug has gotten to me. I wish I have more energy to do all my orders in one day. But that will be impossible. Another big flower centrepiece for housewarming present for my customer's aunty. She wants to give her special gift for her aunty's new abode.

I hope I can finish it by this week as I am a week behind time to do another wedding order for my Australian arty bride. That will be the bride bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and boutannaieres for the grooms and both families. That's a lot work to do.

I will try to upload the photos at my multiply site once I have finish all the orders.

Susan's Wedding Photos

I was excited to receive Susan's wedding photos last week. She is one of my husband nieces who got married in London and celebrate her wedding reception in Melbourne Australia.

We were invited but we could not make it as my husband was tight up with his job in Singapore.

So to compesate for not able to attend her wedding, I had personally made a wedding bouquet of pink and white calla lilies and cherry blossoms for her and her bridesmaid.

I pray for both of them to have a blissful marriage till eternity...

Less than week for Eid preparations

Salams to All!

I have been too busy to update for the past 2 weeks. Alhamdullilah I sold almost all my Hari Raya Sale online with the support from my contacts. Thank you to them who have been there for me.

Alhamdullilah almost all my orders for this coming Eid are finishing. Only one or two which need to deliver after Hari Raya. I hope before this weekend whatever outstanding work is all done. A lot of housework need to be done too. Luckily I got some help if not I think I will be more stressful to finish up all the work.LOL

By the way this year Ramadhan is going to end less than a week :( I felt that it is bit tooo early to celebrate Eid.

Actually I don't really like to celebrate Eid as my mother will not be around. The only reason for me to celebrate Eid is to keep in touch or silaturahim with my families and friends.
I really hope and pray to all that this Ramadhan bring berkah and blessing to the people I have
known. To all who knows me I would like to seek forgiveness if there are or any unforeseen things that I have caused you all with or without any intention. I really hope that whatever mistakes that we have done, it will be a lesson need to be learnt, Insya-Allah.
I would come back again after Eid to update more things, Insya-Allah.
And lastly Eid Mubarak to everyone!

Lovely Day @Woodlands

Today the weather is so nice with the blue sky and the cooling temperature. I don't feel like going out but I have to spend my time with my family. I have been couped up at home for almost a week as I was having a bad bad flu.
And also today I have received a suprise email from one of my customers who had recently ordered her wedding bouquet. She looked pretty in the photo. Anyway big congrats to her and her husband!! May Allah bless your marriage till heaven.

By next week I need to finish up some of my pending orders and few more projects need to be done for my mini Eid sale at my multiply temporary website. Hopefully one week before Eid I can finish off all my orders and I can have my time to do last minute spring cleaning.

And today if the weather permits I may need to do some painting job for one of my customer's order. The flowers is almost done and there is few more roses that I need to add on. I hope by this Friday all the arrangement is finished. No photos yet for me to upload.

I will post the photo once everything is done.

My gifts from CraftGoddess

At last I met Craft Goddess from Greece. After so many times postponing our meeting, we finally set the date and time on 25 Aug 2008 to meet up before she flies back to Greece with her son.

And the best part was I got gifts from her. It was her artwork where she liked to do during her spare time. I was so excited to receive all the stuff.

Her stuff is amazing gorgeous and almost 100% is handmade. From different sizes of knitted brooches, decoupage keychain and clay bead charm bracelets. You can't get it from other places as all these were her own designs. You can go to her website to see more her artwork.

At the same time she had a crash course from me doing the flower clay art before she goes back home. She mentioned to me initially she didn't like artificial flowers but she changed her mind after she saw the work that I have done. I am so pleased to hear that as I never thought that you could change someone's mind by looking at your work. That was such a honour to me. And she also never thought that we can created flowers from an air dry soft clay.

I wish she could stay longer in Singapore but time was running out as her son needs to go back to school after the summer holidays. So I really hope she able to do a flower after the crash course.

Thanks again Craft Goddess!

Forever Blooms Official Blog

Apart of Mutliply blog ..this is where I'm going to share my writing stuff and projects.

I chose blogspot because I found it more personal for me to pen down my thoughts after hard day work with my clay flowers and my two children at home. Normally I don't like to write and share it but I somehow I change my mind to make people more understand how busy I can be when I am doing all alone.

I won't be writing so often as I got few projects which I need to finish before the Ramadan and Eid coming along. So whoever have account with blogspot do share with me and also please do comments of my works. I do need your words to encourage me to do better.
